The Pest Control for Smart Cities project is an advanced urban pest management system designed to monitor, detect, and control pest populations across modern smart city environments. It leverages IoT sensor networks, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and automated control systems to ensure efficient, real-time pest management at a city scale.
The goal of this project is to create a sustainable, intelligent, and scalable pest control ecosystem that enhances urban living conditions and reduces disease risks caused by pests.
In smart cities, maintaining hygiene, public health, and environmental safety is critical. Traditional pest control methods are often reactive, localized, and chemical-dependent. This system transforms pest control into a proactive, data-driven, and automated process by continuously collecting environmental data from multiple urban zones such as residential areas, markets, drainage systems, parks, and waste disposal sites.
